Because fuck every ignorant asshole screaming "girls car!" That's why.

"Check out that fast Beetle! Hope the chick is hot!"

Boy will they be disappointed

I hate to break it to you, but you're using the wrong Beetle.

Throw this in there.
Then make it 1000hp of shut the fuck up.

dude! that's the same thing I wanna do with Lil' Red!
"oh it's a jetta? where's the sorority girl who drives it?" Well, I'm going to my local VW tuning house Tuesday afternoon to see about APR stage I tunes. I also have a buddy with an RX8 who needs to learn why turbochargers are good

The Old New Beetle (ha!) was definitely a girl car (it had a frickin built in bud vase). The one not at all. This looks like the beetle of old. It's long hood and 'fastback' roofline makes it look more aggressive than most other compacts on the market. I'd say you're fine dude.

The OG New Beetle was a pretty girly car. (Remember the flowerpot?) But the new New Beetle is equal in manliness to a Golf or a Jetta or whatever.

As bad as it sounds that is the one thing keeping me from a Beetle. Explaining to people its a new not new Beetle will get very annoying. Especially in hs where kids will find any eason to be a pita.

you just have to tell the haters that it's a Porsche before it's been squished.
still
nice flowerpot.

Holy jebus!!!

But it is a girls car! Look even the stealership that has nothing but Beetles parked in front is called Lindsay. Go figure..
Tho i agree, you should make it bi-moto.

Because you like torque steer?

Wheels/tires/sway bars/suspension first!

Sweet Mother Mary. Will that even fit?

Beast. APR is where it's at! And don't be scared of a downpipe. It will help uncork a lot more power, and has a built in cat if you're worried about that kind of thing.

Honestly, with the new design it cones down to color. The car looks plenty badass in the Reef Blue, black, brown, or white.

My dream next car is a TDI manual convertible in brown!

Rear engine conversion and it should. Do you really need rear seats/trunk space. I mean a frunk is more amusing.

Right now, the only things stopping me are lack of funds, and I'm not sure if the APR goodies void the CPO warranty I have.

Always a good choice. The Brown/tan combo is classy and manly at the same time. And the diesel is a badass Bug.

It does. But some dealerships are more mod-friendly than others.

Agreed....back in the late 70's I had a big barrel (2180cc) 68 Beetle. Not sure what the horsepower was....probably 100-125 hp....it was fast, but the snap off-throttle oversteer was what kept you on your toes.

For one summer when I was 17, I had a '99 Beetle 5 Speed to drive. I loved that thing. I would definitely have one of the newest ones. They look so much better. They already look like a factory widebody.

Since you called it a bud vase, I wonder how many have turned that into a bong. . .

That could be problematic because it's attached to the dash.
